What MIDI control is provided?
Videodelic provides two levels of MIDI control: global control which allows you to change pictures, effects and display options (and more) and parameter control which allows you to control the effect and color parameters. Videodelic patches (presets) allow you to store controller assignments for up to 9 parameters. For parameter control, you can use any of these types of controllers: audio input (any of 4 frequency ranges), mouse position, built-in LFO, or MIDI input (note number, note velocity, continuous controllers, pitch bend and more). Videodelic uses MIDI continuous controllers and patch change events as “global controllers”. We also provide some MAX patches that show how you can use Cycling 74’s MAX to customize the built-in MIDI handling. Some of these patches are quite useful even if you don’t own MAX.
