What NJNG price increased on November 1, 2010?
• The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), regulates New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) prices for natural gas commodity and delivery services and recently approved changes to the statewide Universal Service Fund (USF) rate which is part of the Societal Benefits Charge included in all customers’ delivery charges. The net impact to a typical residential heating customer’s overall bill is an approximate 0.015 percent increase. A typical customer using 100 therms a month would see their bill increase from $135.65 to $135.67 a monthly increase of $0.02. The USF is a permanent statewide program funded through charges to energy customers for the benefit of income-eligible customers.
