What opportunities are available for reclassification and reassignment outside of Recruiting completing the initial service obligation?
A. Once assigned as an Army Reserve Career Counselor, you are managed throughout your career as a 79V Army Reserve Career Counselor. Upon completion of the initial three-year service obligation, you may submit, using DA Form 4187, a request for reclassification and reassignment outside of the U.S. Army Retention and Transition NCO Command. Approval is contingent upon the needs of the service and particular MOS. You may submit a request for reclassification and reassignment at any time once you complete the initial service obligation.
