What other benefits are derived by my using Khadi paper?
The water used in the paper making is completely recycled. The virgin water used for white papers and then recycled for colored papers. NO CHLORINE or HARMFUL CHEMICALS ARE USED. The final run off is pH neutral and used to irrigate an organic mango farm. Small scale papermaking also has a positive impact on the local economy in India as it generates employment in poor villages. A majority of these workers are women, leading to their upliftment from their traditionally passive roles. Khadi paper is NOT made from wood pulp & hence has no adverse impact on the World’s forest resources.
