Hello. staphylococcus aureus does not cause strep throat. if the doctor told you that run far and never see him again. There are 3 families of cocci bacteria: streptococcus, staphylococcus, and micrococcus. Streptococcus causes strep throat obv. stapylococcus is usually species aureus that causes infections and they cause boils on the skin that looks like blisters. S. aureus is a normal flora on the human body mostly from the throat. normal flora means that it is normal to have it. S. aureus infects people when they have immune problems or if the aureus went to another part of the body that it shouldnt be.
