I’ve been going to the gym for a couple of years now. I try to go at least once or twice a week, but sometimes I can go more often. I bought a couple of shorts and t-shirts at one store, and frankly, I didn’t like them. The shorts are more like basketball shorts and are too hot. The t-shirts are supposed to wick away moisture, but they’re thick, warm, and too short. I almost always use the elliptical, have started doing a little rowing, and sometimes use weight machines. I’m not sure if that makes a difference with the bending or the movements.
A few weeks ago, I happened to stop at a different store, and although I really liked the material, I couldn’t bring myself to pay that much for the clothes.
When it comes to clothing, that’s perfectly normal. Not every piece is right for you. Material, fit, and functionality are crucial, especially for cardio workouts like the elliptical or rowing machine. Good workout clothes should be lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to move with, not just pretty.
