The speedway has embedded landing-strip-like caution lights in the asphalt at the base of the retaining walls inside the speedway’s four turns. Eddie Gossage, the track’s general manager, says the lights will be easier to see for drivers, even in the sun. “Our tests indicate the drivers will see them easier,” Gossage says. “We believe it will give the drivers quicker notification of a problem somewhere on the racetrack, and that makes the racing safer.” Q: How’s Matt Kenseth looking?
