What prophecies is Jesus Christ not fulfill according to the jewish beliefs?
Isaiah 7:14 says “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a VIRGIN shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name IMMANUEL” 1 Some people point out that Jesus was never named Immanuel 2 being born to a virgin would also dis qualify him. They point out that “VIRGIN” in the above verse has now been replaced in the RSV with the phrase “a young woman,” which they’ll tell you is the correct translation of the Hebrew word almah. Almah is the word which has occurred all along in the Hebrew text and NOT bethulah which means VIRGIN.
