What qualities marked Carlo Gambino out from all the other Sicilian-American gangsters at the time?
Carlo was always able to keep one step ahead of the cops, even when under intense surveillance. The FBI had bugged every room in his house, but he was still able to conduct business without saying anything incriminating. They could never get any evidence on him (perhaps the fact that they were using a MARKED van that said “Organized Crime Control Bureau” on it kind of gave him a hint).
