Why would the district spend more money on transportation to send the children of Mayfield Ranch/Stone Oak across IH 35 to Hopewell – approx 7.5 miles Walsh is 2.5 miles. There is not a significant difference in expenditures between plans or different schools. The major expenditure for transportation is the cost of the bus driver which will be the same in all options.
