What sessions are “spoofed” in AccessBuilder® Remote Office and OfficeConnect Remote ?

A4: AccessBuilder® Remote Office / OfficeConnect Remote equipment is capable of filtering and/or “spoofing” NetWare-IPX/SPX SAP, RIP, Watchdog (“keep alive”) packets and “GetNearest Server” requests. This spoofing covers workstation-to-server, server to workstation and server-to-server sessions. In case of sessions which use TCP/IP, AccessBuilder® Remote Office and OfficeConnect Remote will filter out periodic RIP updates over the WAN (ISDN) interface. Dynamic changes applied to the existing routing tables will be transmitted over the WAN (ISDN) link within the next ‘real’ user data transfer cycle. RIP updates over the LAN port will be propagated periodically as usual.
