It is thought that since the Y chromosone which is most dominant for baby boys and the X which is for girls that any method that gets the Y closer to the egg will be most affective for anyone wishing to have a baby boy. Since the Y chromosone is the fastest, but unfortunately the weaker of the two, any positions that give the Y a headstart will be more favorable. So in other words what ever position that will get the sperm fastest to the egg such as rear position would be most likely give you the best chance to conceive a baby boy.
