What should be done with the small brick building?
The Water Works is interested in any ideas about what might be done with the small 12’x22′ brick building that used to be on the top west edge of the reservoir. It has been totally covered with grafitti and is “essentially a brick shell”with no floor and no foundation. (See Photo.) Moving the building to where it presently sits on a frame (base of the hill, northwest side) cost $26,000. It would cost an estimated $250,000 to remove the graffiti and restore the building, so the following options are being entertained by the Water Works: • Sell or give it to someone who will move it out of the park. • Demolish and recycle or donate the bricks. • Leave the structure, clean it, and seal it to prevent entry.
