What should I do when prompted to enter a PIN when using my M&T Check Card with Visa payWave?
If you are asked to enter your PIN after waving your M&T Check Card in front of the secure reader, choose “cancel” and then choose “credit”. Nothing else about the transaction changes. The purchase is authorized and processed the same safe way as traditional transactions made with a magnetic stripe.
