Hay: Guinea pigs should have unlimited access to grass hay (eg timothy hay) at all times. It is vital for proper digestion, wearing down teeth, and preventing boredom. Pellets: Guinea pigs should eat about 1/4 cup of pellets per day. Most brands of guinea pig food are junk food, and some are downright dangerous.
