What show to occupy me before 24 season 7 comes out?!?
If you can acquire the DVDs, I’d recommend La Femme Nikita. TPTB behind 24 did La Femme Nikita first, and it has some of the same feel. It is about fighting terrorism, with complex, morally-gray characters, double-crosses, action, etc. That show is one of my favorites of all time. I’d also second the nomination of Lost. It is complex and full of twists and turns. I’d also recommend Burn Notice, but that doesn’t come out on DVD until June. (There may be *ahem* not-so-legal ways of viewing it before then, though.) It is a humorous take on the whole spy-against-the-world story, and is very engrossing. If you like escapist action-adventure that doesn’t necessarily always make logical sense, the first season of Prison Break is good. (The second season was decent and the third is not-so-good; fair warning.) I don’t know if you like sci-fi, but Battlestar Galactica is a really, really good adventure drama. Instead of terrorists it has Cylons, but it is still the “us against them” sensibility.
