What software comes with the Back-to-School Bundles?
That depends on the bundle you order and whether you are a student, staff, faculty, or department: • Students: • Dell bundles come pre-installed with Windows Vista Business, Antivirus software, and a suite of UVM-supported programs. • Apple bundles come pre-installed with Mac OS X, a suite of UVM-supported apps*, and Apple’s standard suite of applications (Safari, Mail, iLife, QuickTime, etc.). • Microsoft Office is bundled with—but not installed on—all of our offerings. • Staff and Faculty: • We do not install any additional software on computers purchased by staff and faculty for personal use, and so they come as-is from their respective manufacturers. UVM-supported programs, including Antivirus* software, are available for download from the UVM Software Archive. Staff and faculty are eligible under UVM’s Microsoft Campus Agreement (CA) to purchase Work-at-Home media for selected Microsoft software titles, most notably Microsoft Office.
