What sorts of Inverters are there?

0

This question is a little ambiguous. Because different countries use different standards for AC, the Inverters used in each must be slightly different. However there is also a question of the precise type of output generated by the device. Standard AC is typically a relatively smooth sinusoidal curve. An Inverter can be induced to generate an output similar to this by the judicious application of inductive/capacitative filtering. Many Inverters however simply output a square wave; in mathematical terms, a square wave has a lot of higher frequency harmonics.
