A team of FedEx engineers and Year 2000 specialists continue to work with Aircraft and Original Equipment Manufacturers to document if there are any Year 2000 compliance issues for electronic equipment installed on any FedEx aircraft. Examples of these activities/reviews include: • Airbus Industries and Boeing report that they have successfully completed in-flight Year 2000 date changes in their aircraft, with no safety of flight issues reported. • FedEx has successfully completed independent ground and flight tests of its technologically advanced MD11 aircraft. • FedEx has benchmarked our aircraft Year 2000 compliance strategies and results with other airlines operating similar model types. • FedEx continues review of Aircraft and Original Equipment Manufacturers test results and compliance documentation for individual components used on the FedEx fleet.
