What support does the Govt. render in the process of formation of a SHG?
The group is initially fonned with external support / facilitation by any agency-governmental or nongovernmental or by the members themselves. However, when group becomes stronger, the members start looking for opportunities for economic activities to further build upon their collective strength. The govt. support may come in at this step and the necessary linkages between support agencies and the group can be enabled by the govt. to derive benefits of existing schemes / programmes.
