It’s a group effort. Structural engineers would design the steel/wood structure of the roller coaster. A structural or geotechnical engineer would design the foundations for the structure. Mechanical engineers would design the hydraulics and brakes and chain lifts, etc. Electrical engineers would design the power supply to make it run.
