What type of government does Egypt have?
The country of Egypt has been a republic since June of 1953. Since 1953 there have been a total of four Egyptians that served as presidents of Egypt. This lengthy rulership was the main reason behind the protests which occurred in January and February of 2011 against Mohamed Hosni Mubarak from reclaiming the office of presidency again.
As of February 11th, 2011, the government of Egypt is considered a republic under military rule. After weeks of protests and riots, Mubarak stepped down from office. As of February, the legislative power of Egypt is through both the government and the People’s Assembly.
Mubarak’s no dictator, he just… I dk whether he cares or not, but he doesn’t seem much helpful, he’s not dangerous, but the sn*kes around him… They’re like an obstacle that prevents him from doing his job (by orders from… some place and some place [would be illegal if i said].). Government of thiev*s I bet. Egypt used to be very rich, it can “if well organized” feed the entire world, yet it’s being robbed. Despite that it still stands! Despite everyday I hear John Doe took $xx,xxx, xxx, xxx and gone away; Foo Bar came out by declaring his innocence after killing 1,300 indivdual by sinking The al-Salam Boccaccio 98 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Salam_Boccaccio_%2798 ); Just weak government that just follows orders from *someone/some organization* and not loving the people they rule, nor appreciating them.
