get a teddy bear hamster, or a short haired hamster, very cute and they wont bite you, you just have to make sure they are used to you first before you try and pick them up, if you dont, they dont know you and will bite, trust me i know, just let him/her settle in for a week and during that time let him/her smell you and hear your voice and then the fur ball will most likly not bite you
