A. When considering different PDA s we consider the following: 1. Operating System- To run the latest versions of our software, a PDA needs to have at least the latest version of Windows Mobile software. (Currently 5.0) 2. Processing speed- Even earlier models operating at 200 MHz moved very smoothly through our software. Now 520 MHz is available for as low as $399.00. We recommend using the iPAQ from HP because it is affordable and feature rich. 3. Memory Card Slots- Having multiple memory card slots allows for use of items such as a barcode scanner and a memory card at the same time. If you are going to use our barcode software you will need a unit with two card slots. (CF and SD memory card slots.) The barcode scanner will use the SD or CF Card slot. 4. Backup/Restore-The PDA should be able to back up ALL of its files into one backup file. If it cannot do so on it s own, it needs to be able to Sync to a PC using Microsoft ActiveSync.
