Pruning must be in accordance with the City of Winnipeg specifications included in the formal agreement. These standards follow the ANSI A3000 Part1-2001 Pruning Standards”. The following pruning objectives must be followed: structural; cleaning; thinning; raising; and restoration. The topping of trees is not an acceptable pruning practice, and will not be approved.
