What types of parking regulations are in effect in order to have maximum safety?
Students may not back into parking spaces because permits are placed on the rear window of the vehicle, and it is difficult to read each permit when vehicles are parked in both directions. The possibility of a fender-bender is also greater when vehicles are parked in both directions. Fire regulations require that circle areas in front of buildings be kept clear at all times. Students will be allowed to pull into the fire lane as long as they stay in their vehicle. If vehicles are left unattended, they will be ticketed. Parking has been designed so that emergency vehicles such as fire trucks can get around in the parking lots. The parking lots must be kept so that these (or other) large emergency vehicles can pull in and drive around at all hours–day or night.
