What types of terminations qualify for FIAP benefits?
Senior faculty members who voluntarily resign or who are terminated as part of a “reduction in faculty” are eligible for FIAP benefits. Other types of terminations (for example, a termination for disability, death or “just cause”) are not covered by the FIAP. The italicized terms are defined in the Handbook for Faculty and Academic Administrators (or, if applicable, a successor publication).
