What will conditions be like during rehearsals?
We are in South Central Texas and summer can be brutal. Every member of the corps must be prepared to march a demanding drill, play their instrument, spin your flag, rifle or saber and deal with extreme heat at the same time. During the summer, we will make every effort to schedule outdoor rehearsal time in the morning and evening. During the hotter part of the day we will find shade or go indoors for section or ensemble time however there will be times when we absolutely must stay outside to work on drill as needed. As long as every member is focused and we are efficient during rehearsals, we should be able to make it as painless as possible. Always bring plenty of water with you to rehearsals and start exercising now!
