What will happen if i dont replace my HP laptop battery?
The software is designed to alert you when the battery is not charging properly. Try doing a calibration on your battery and see if that changes your message. Calibrating is simple, first turn off your power management settings that put the computer to sleep. Then fully charge the laptop before letting it run all the way down until the computer shuts off automatically. Restart the laptop and enable the power management settings. If the battery needs to be replaced, it will fail on different cells (most batteries are 6 cell), eventually you will lose 20 minutes here and 20 minutes there until the whole battery fails. You need to replace the battery at your convenience after you notice it not charging fully or not lasting very long. It isn’t very likely it will cause laptop damage but do you want to risk it?
