What will the Pandas eat?
The Pandas in China live in the forests along the Eastern rim of the Tibetan Plateau in Sichuan, Gansu, and Shannxi provinces. Of the 1,100 different varieties of bamboo, one type is used for this flooring, the Mao Zhu (Hairy bamboo). Hairy bamboo is a bamboo species not consumed by panda bears. This bamboo is harvested only from controlled forests in the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangxi, and the Hunan, not disturbing the panda’s habitat.
