What would an agency charge to build a major brand website, e.g. Nike or Coca-Cola?
“major brand website” can mean a lot of things. If we are talking a website to go along with a campaign (say “shave anywhere” or “will it blend” or something like that) vs. not the actual coke.com or nike.com, then yes, somewhere in the $150-500k range is about right. These answers here are all broadly correct. If you’re talking nike.com or coke.com the answer is millions. Easily $4-5 million a year, often more, and that’s excluding the extensions to coordinate with any individual campaign site, as described elsewhere here.
