At idle likely engine will run rough … for automatics more noticable in drive or reverse with foot on the brake… shudders at traffic lights etc. on gently opening of throttle response will be more sluggish than normal and may be so slight almost undetectable to untranined individuals (mechanics or technicians)… under full throttle it wouldn’t affect things much unless a really bad one like a EGR valve stuck open or a Power Brake vaccum booster diapham bad…(these are very big leaks and the extremes) some vaccum lines are routed to temperature controlled inputs so these may exibit problems only when hot or cold or at certain temps only…(these have automatic valves which direcet vacuum by turning it on or off to certain components when certain parimeters are met..) there are also electrically controlled ones which are controled by the computer or one of its sensors… that said it seems pretty complex… but to simply finding the pesky vacuum leaks here is how its done cheap and
