Alerts sent to you are meant to bring your attention to potential land title fraud. You may receive an alert for the following reasons: • Any transfer of the Title of your property to another name • Any application to change an agreement or real estate consolidation • Any change or discharge of a mortgage associated with your property • Any New Title registration due to the transfer of the property from one party to another • Any activity on your Registered Title due to causes rising from an estate situation, bankruptcy, judgment or lien. Q. How long does it take to receive an alert? Alerts are mailed every business day following activity on your file. You will generally receive the alert within 3-5 days.
