What would constitute a huge technological breakthrough in water technology?
A. I don’t see any huge rupture or technological step. Desalination was limited to very rich countries a few years ago. Today, it is affordable for most countries. Thanks to new technologies, we divided by four the price of desalination. Today, reuse is much more efficient than desalination in terms of price and efficiency and quality. We already built huge improvements. We still have room for significant improvements when it comes to energy-saving technologies. Until recently, we treated water with chemicals. Today, we use membranes, which is completely different from a health standpoint. To come back to your first consideration: Milwaukee and the hub that is to be created. Maybe in three to five years, we will see very significant developments. And this is, of course, what we are aiming to do together with the city.
