AR is Attack Rating. It increases your chance to hit by that base percentage (i.e., an AR of 5% will increase your chance to hit 5% every time you make an attack). Some weapons are listed as having ‘Added Attack Rating’: this means that whatever’s listed as that value is also added to the chance to hit, but only for the time you use that weapon.
