What’s going to be different if the GCR goes forward?
The hope of the Task Force is that the Southern Baptist Convention would return the priority and primacy to the local church. God has given the Great Commission to His local church, and any other body, such as the SBC, is simply a partner to local churches in helping them fulfill the Great Commission. It is our hope that the Great Commission would become the measuring stick for everything we do as a convention, evaluating and acting as needed for the sake of the expansion of the Gospel. We have hopefully set things on a course that will assist churches as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
