Whats the best band or song to rock out on air guitar-style?
Andrew W.K.: Well, I don’t know. I certainly dance a lot. I’m more of an air drummer I think. I definitely play air drums. Definitely my music is great to air drum to for me. Before the album at night I would sit down and listen to what I had been working on and envision that we would be playing this out at a concert and I would sit after working ten hours straight on this song and air drum to it until I would just sweat and full of chills across my whole body with anticipation and excitement. I really like drumming to the new Hatebreed record. Our drummer Donald air drums with sticks and warms up a lot before the show by drumming to the first song on Iowa from Slipknot, which is an amazing, amazing drumming experience for sure. IGN Music: You sound a little hoarse today. How do you keep your voice in shape when you’re out touring as much as you do? Andrew W.K.: It’s just fatigue and recovery. By the end of the day right before we play, my voice will have recovered enough to play again
