Whats the Best Cloth to Put on My Pool Table?
Choose a cloth that is no less than 70% wool. Most billiard cloth is a wool/nylon blend. For recreational players we recommend Championship Titan or Championship Invitational billiard cloth. For more serious players, we recommend a “worsted” cloth like Simonis 860. Simonis cloth differs from the cloth you’re probably used to playing on because it’s “worsted”. Before the wool threads are woven into cloth it’s put through a process that shaves all the little stray fuzz. This results in a much smoother, truer, faster playing surface. f you take pool very seriously, or you’re just someone who likes having the best, then you may want to upgrade to Simonis. How to Care for a Pool Table Always: • Brush the table regularly, especially in the first few months after getting new cloth. Always brush in a straight line going the same direction you break. • Vacuum the table occasionally. This prevents chalk build-up. • Dust natural wood finishes frequently using a non-residue forming dusting agent.
