Whats the deal with Delta Zeta badges being sold on ebay?
This is an unfortunate ongoing situation. It is true that if you purchase and return a badge to Delta Zeta National Headquarters you will be reimbursed up to $50 with a receipt, and there is a group of “badge rescuers” who regularly search online auctions to retrieve badges. If you spot a badge auction, DO NOT email the seller to let them know that Delta Zeta owns those badges and they have no right to sell them you will probably get turned in to EBAY for harrassment. And if you want to be sure YOUR badge doesn’t fall into unscrupulous hands, write in your will or tell those close to you that you wish to be buried with your badge or provide specific instructions that it be returned to Headquarters upon your death.
