The Remember the Children campaign started the day after the Sept. 11th bombings. I was really kind of in shock from it and I knew that I had to do something to kind of get it off my mind and I didn’t have time to do anything too creative. A few years back, I raised money for soldiers who were trapped in Kosovo — we sold yellow bows for them. We still had yellow bows left over, so I decided to use them again. I took what was originally being used to raise money for that and used it to raise money for the victims of the terrorist attacks. The campaign began to spread around the United States by email. Pretty soon it became known as Remember the Children Yellow Bow Campaign, because all the money was being donated to the Red Cross specifically for the children. 3.
