Whats the difference between a DSi and a laser scan?
The DSi was specifically developed to address the movement issue discussed above. The system uses 15 strategically placed digital cameras to instantaneously capture a 3-D image of the infant’s head. The image is taken so quick (0.005 seconds) that the infant can actually be moving while the image is recorded. Cranial Technologies was the first company able to solve this complex problem, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued us three separate patents covering this technology.
