Whats the difference between a squid and an octopus?

0

There are several apparent differences: The squid has ten appendages, the octopus has eight. Some if not all squid have two structurally different feeding tentacles, octopus tentacles are all structurally the same. The squid’s “head” has a recognizable elongated shape usually with a triangular fin-like structure at the end opposite the tentacles, the octopus head is more of a limp bag. I am sure there are more, but those you can see readily.
