Whats the difference between love between love now and before 50 years ago?
Love, 50 years ago did mean something different than today. Not that the love between two people were different, but that love meant something different. 50 years ago, husbands and wives took their wedding vows seriously, a promise they made to themselves and to God to love each other for life. 50 years ago, a husband supported this wife and made a living to raise a family. 50 years ago, a husband and wife counted on each other to go through the turmoil that life throws at a couple. Today, vows are just some words, not a promise; God is taken out of the family and replaced with worldly views; it takes two incomes to raise a family to keep up with the Jones’; when turmoil raises its head in a family today, the easy way is just to get out, whomever is hurt, will get over it. That is today’s thinking and I believe a summary of the differences between now and 50 years ago.
