Whats the difference between PCL5, PCL6 and PostScript?

PCL 5 will provide the greatest compatibility while PCL 6 will provide additional features and quickest OS response. PCL (Printer Control Language) was developed by HP and used for the original laserjet printers. Postscript is another printer page definition language and should be used only if you applications need it. It was developed by Apple and used in the original Applewriter laser printers. I suggest PCL 6 unless there is a reason to install one of the other choices.
