Whats the difference between the Dexter Adjustable Latch and the Drive-in Latch?

A. In the Dexter product, we offer two styles of latches. For most folks the adjustable latch is the correct one; it comes with a latch plate and will work for both the 2-3/8 and 2-3/4 backsets. The drive-in latch is geared more for our product builder customers. This latch does not have a latch plate; it is designed to be driven in by rubber mallet and instead of have screws to hold it via a latch plate, it uses a friction collar.
