In a word, it’s coverage – the more expensive the plan the better the coverage. The Powertrain Plans and the Added Care Plus Plans are “stated coverage” plans – that means the part is covered only if it’s listed in the Plan Provisions. If the part’s not on the Plan Provisions, it’s not covered. Maximum Care Plans, by contrast, are “exclusionary” plans – that means all mechanical parts on the vehicle are covered unless it is specifically stated in the Plan Provision that they are not covered.
