• The taught mode is more for those students who have prior professional experience in the arts and cultural sector who wish to either develop and fine tune their expertise or add to their existing knowledge and skills to be able to work within a different area within the sector. This experience may be in management, administration within a theatre, performing arts company or museum. You might also have related management experience within another sector e.g. financial management, marketing,and want to transfer to a career in the cultural sector. Students taking the taught mode will take six elective modules in addition to the two core modules, agreed with their personal tutor during the development of their personal pathway plan. • The placement mode is generally for those students with little or no experience in the cultural sector. It might also be useful to someone from another profession e.g. lawyer, accountant who wants to move to work in the sector. Students taking the placement
