there is violence in every religion you cant say islam just bc there is wars and bombings and jihad is like a trespasser coming in your house and trying to protect your family the soviet are killing those by their borders too as well and they are not muslims and serbians as well oh and also every murderer and killer in america so violence can’t be constricted just in one religion so there is violence all over the place

Secondly, in addition to examining religious texts, you have to look at the effect a religion has on it’s followers, and what inspiration it serves for them. You have to look at how the followers behave, and what the religion “does to them”. When followers display a consistent pattern of violent behaviour, and they claim they are only following what their religion tells them, then you have to look closely at the religious texts. Only after both conditions are tested positive, can you say a religion is truly violent.
