Whats the storage capacity of the Xbox hard disk?

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!! AND NO! This is what I think you should do… if you don’t want to flash your XBOX mobo with that LBA48 hack, then stick the safe procedure of just calling up or typing in google “xbox motherboard specification + the version of your mobo”. There you will find the stinking max capacity of your xbox mobo. Anyway you will be voicing the warranty of your xbox if you open it up to see what version is your mobo, so might as well just hack your stupid xbox with that LBA. If you don’t want to open it up, the safest upgrade would be the 120GB hdd. If you want just sell your stupid xbox, and buy the 360 or ps3, sinc you’re gonna be spending money on a hard drive anyway. At least you’ve got a better system this time… chow baby!

No, no, just no. The storage capacity of the XBOX is either 8 GB or 10 GB standard depending on what version your XBOX is. The largest possible storage is 120 GB and nothing greater than that. I don’t care what size IDE HD you can find. The BIOS will not support anything greater than that. All computers (XBOX included) have limitations based upon the hardware and software of the motherboard (BIOS). Now you all know, and you can stop arguing about it.

Depending on the XBOX you bought it will come with a 5/6Gig, 8 Gig or 10/12Gig drive. As for the storage capacity whatever the maximum size IDE drive available on the market can be placed functionally into your XBOX. At this time 350Gigs is the current single drive capacity. As for MultiDrive Capacity the current capacity is 1.4Terabytes. Which is 4 drives which can all be hooked up to your XBOX at one time, all with a 350G capacity.
