When a CTC tourism program states that it has CITC Endorsement, what does that mean?

0

It means the Travel & Tourism Program has the highest level of curriculum and delivery endorsement available in Canada by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC). CITC is the national association that certifies and designates travel professionals across Canada. Endorsement is granted when a travel program meets or exceeds the educational standards that are based on the nationally validated occupational standards for travel counselling. Completion of the program prepares students to write the Knowledge Exam that is part of the certification requirements to become a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC). Students who choose to write and pass the exam receive a Knowledge Exam Certificate from CITC. Currently CTC’s Travel & Tourism Diploma, Travel & Tourism Business Management Diploma and the Travel & Tourism Business Management Co-op Diploma carry the CITC 5 Star designation.
